Last night, our dear friend’s dog, Shadow, was hit by a car and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury along with major internal bleeding in the abdominal organs and the chest cavity. Shadow is fighting hard, but it is very possible that he may need surgery to fully recover. The total cost for his treatment so far has totaled almost $7,000.

Our friend is an active-duty Navy service member who gives her all to helping others every single day. Shadow is her whole world—her loyal companion, her comfort, and her constant source of joy.
