Hi, I'm Lo! As many who are reading know, my cats are my whole life. My oldest boy, Shadow, began to act lethargic on Wednesday night. Come Thursday morning, I knew something wasn't right. I took him to his vet, they couldn't find anything immediately. We took a (very short) wait and see approach, but Friday (6/6), nothing had changed. My poor guy was still very lethargic and refusing to eat. Long story short, vet ran some more tests, found he was in diabetic ketoacidosis from undiagnosed diabetes and I took him to the ER stat. That's currently where he is spending the next 48 hours to stabilize.

Animal care is obviously not cheap, but I would do ANYTHING for my boy. Fortunately, I was able to pay for a 48 hour stay between CareCredit and Affirm. However, it's definitely still more than I think any one person would be able to handle. Even just the smallest amount would help offset costs and any interest I will have to pay.
