Hey everyone, my name is Piper and the handsome gentleman in the photos is my cat Shadow who is 6 years old. Many days for Shadow include fetching milk tabs, playing with his brothers, and cuddling in bed with his favorite blanket, However recently he has been experiencing some issues with his health that make it difficult for him to function. Though he is quite the silly creature as you can see in the photos, he has recently been faced with Chronic Cystitis, Urinary Tract Infections and mucus blockages which have threatened his life on three occasions now. Shadow has visited the hospital three times now, each time for the same issues he was experiencing before but at a higher rate and intensity each time following, Including his bladder almost bursting on two occasions. Even with trying my luck with odd jobs for money alongside being supported by the generosity of family members i have found myself in a position where the likelihood of major blockages is extremely high and my funds to sustain healthcare is running out.

The total bill for all visits so far comes out to about five thousand dollars and now the option to prevent this is to have him undergo Urinary Tract Bypass Surgery so that he doesn’t find himself with a blocked or even a bursted bladder. ( Blockages cause urine to back up kidneys, which cause kidneys to fail and toxins enter the blood causing death often in les than 24 to 48 hours). This surgery would primarily allow him to live out his whimsical desires while also decreasing the amount of intense care i have to administer to him at home. As of right now, He has to be separate from any food other than his medically approved, and with two other cats it certainly takes a lot of presence and devotion of time that makes it hard to acquire money to help him. Without surgery it is likely that he will experience blockages again at some point, making his condition worse. The surgery is estimated to be between six thousand and seven thousand dollars.

I know this a large sum of money but as a young adult it is hard to acquire this amount without assistance in a timely manner that upholds shadow's health and needs. Anything that you can donate will ultimately allow for him to stay in my life and continue bringing happiness to shadow and all that love him.
