Help Shadow Heal and Walk Again

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart. A few weeks ago, my friend came across a helpless 4-month-old puppy who had been abandoned and cruelly tied to a tree, left to fend for himself. He was scared, alone, and just a baby. My friend couldn’t take him in, so I stepped in and gave him a forever home. That’s how Shadow came into my life.

Shadow is a fighter. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s incredibly loving, playful, and full of energy. He’s brought so much light into my life in such a short time. I recently took him to the vet to get his shots and make sure he was healthy. As we noticed he was unable to walk normally and often times would whine, that’s when we discovered he has a fractured right back leg.

The fracture is located at his growth plate, right where the femur and kneecap meet. If left untreated, it could cause him increasing pain and long-term mobility issues as he continues to grow. Surgery is necessary, not just to ease his pain, but to give him the chance to live a normal, active life.

The cost of the surgery is $4,500, and unfortunately, I don’t have the funds to cover this on my own. I’m asking for help from anyone who can find it in their heart to give. No amount is too small. Every dollar brings us one step closer to getting Shadow the care he needs and deserves.
