My dog's name is Shadoe. He's an 8-year-old Min-Pin/Dachshund mix who loves to play fetch and always has kisses to trade for belly rubs. Shadoe has been my loyal companion, bringing joy and comfort every day with his playful spirit and loving nature.

A couple of years ago, Shadoe was diagnosed with a heart murmur. Unfortunately, pet insurance doesn't cover his condition, so I've been trying to save up to take him to see a cardiologist. However, unexpected life issues like car troubles, taxes, and slow work have made it difficult to set aside enough money. Today was especially scary—Shadoe had to go to the emergency vet because of a cough that was quickly getting worse. I thought it might be a cold, but the vet explained it was due to fluid building up around his lungs because his heart is getting weaker. They put him on oxygen and gave him medicine to relieve the fluid, which has helped, and we were sent home with medication to help control fluids and support his heart.

The vet expressed that if Shadoe doesn't see a cardiologist soon, he may only have a few months left. I want to do everything I can to give him the best chance and make the most of the time we have left together. Please help us if you can—your support would mean the world to both of us.
