Shaday's Fight: Diabetes, Kidney Failure & Beyond
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Shaday Murphy. I'm a 31-year-old living in Waterford, St. Catherine, Jamaica. At just 10 years old, I was diagnosed with diabetes, and for the past 21 years, I've been fighting this chronic illness.
Recently, my health took a turn for the worse, and I developed end-stage renal failure. In August 2024, I began dialysis, and life has been an uphill battle ever since. I was hospitalized for four months and continue to face serious complications, including severe swelling, shortness of breath, and difficulty moving around.
To make matters worse, I've been suffering from seizures, and my doctors are working tirelessly to determine the best course of treatment for me. This has added an extra layer of complexity to my situation, and I'm in dire need of support.
Doctors say I'll need home oxygen, and medications are often scarce, especially when the hospital pharmacy runs out of stock. Due to my condition, I'm unable to work, making it even harder to afford the medications and medical supplies I desperately need.
That's why I'm reaching out for your support. Any contribution will go directly towards accessing the treatment and care necessary to manage my condition and improve my quality of life.
Specifically, funds will be used for:
- Medical expenses (dialysis, medications, hospital visits)
- Home oxygen and equipment
- Essential medical supplies
- Seizure management and treatment
My goal is to raise $5,000 USD to cover these expenses and ensure I receive the best possible care.
Thank you for considering a donation. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean the world to me. Please share this campaign with your network to help me on this journey.
