Help Shabbir fight leukaemia!
Donation protected
Assalamualaikum everyone!
We are fundraising to help a family friend from Bangladesh with medical costs. He has recently been diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukaemia.
Shabbir is 16 and he lives in Bangladesh with his family. He's the eldest of 3 brothers. He's going to Madrasah to become a Hafiz and Alhamdulillah he has so far memorized upto 22 chapters.
Shabbir is a very lovely boy, who loves his family and wants to grow up and make his parents proud. However, his world came crushing down a few weeks ago when he found out he was suffering from acute lymphocytic leukaemia (a rare aggressive form of blood cancer).
Shabbir was a very outgoing boy, always full of energy, however a few weeks ago he was complaining of feeling extremely tired and fatigue. After his father took him to the doctors, blood tests were taken. Results came back abnormal. After further investigations, it was reported that he was suffering from acute lymphocytic leukaemia.
He was given many rounds of blood transfusion and his parents wanted to take him to India for treatment, however it was not financially viable for them. Since then, Sabbir has lost partial vision in both of his eyes. His parents have decided to stay in Dhaka and continue with his treatment however as you can understand it is very difficult for this poor family to arrange such amounts of money for their son's treatment such as the doctor said that he will need to go through 4 months of chemotherapy as a first line of treatment. As we know from the information we got, 1 dose of chemo is about 40-50k Bangladeshi taka. As you can imagine, this is near impossible for them to arrange. Currently, the doctors have no answer, they will only be able to give an update after chemo.
The family is going through such a difficult time right now. The parents are running around and crying for their elder son. You can't fully understand what is going through a mother's heart seeing her son on the death bed. The doctors haven't given much hope but the family are pleading for help. They want to give their son something to fight for. He has got a whole future ahead of him. Imagine if this was your son, your brother, your friend in this situation. May Allah never test us like this.
Please can you help them as much as you can. Please share with your family and friends, and let's all try to give Shabbir and his family a new life. Allah will count all our deeds, this one donation may be what will save us in the Akhirah. In shaa Allah
