Our little Shabazz has been incredibly brave. He was diagnosed with severe HIE and Cerebral Palsy after a long cardiac arrest in October 2025. After this tough start, he has continued to improve, and as his parents, we want to do everything we can to help him succeed. Right now, we are hoping to take him for a special stem cell treatment. This could really help him, but it costs a lot—$15,000 plus travel.

We are hoping to give our son the opportunity to receive Dezawa Muse cell therapy in Mexico, a regenerative treatment that may help support brain healing and neurological function. While it is not a cure, this type of stem cell therapy has shown potential to reduce inflammation, promote repair of damaged brain tissue, and improve communication between the brain and body. For children with brain injuries, possible benefits may include gains in muscle tone, movement, cognition, speech, and overall quality of life. Our greatest hope is that this treatment could help unlock more of his abilities, improve his comfort, and give him the best chance at greater independence in the future.
