Help Sgt. Rob Beat Cancer!
Spende geschützt

Rob has devoted his career to protecting and serving New Yorkers for the past 15 years. He currently serves as a Sergeant in the Counterterrorism Unit of the NYPD. Every day he puts his life on the line to help protect New Yorkers, and those who are guests in our great city, from the dangers we face both domestic and foreign. Now he needs our help and protection.
Earlier this year, Rob was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He immediately had surgery to remove the tumor and since it was caught in an early stage, we thought that would be the end of it. A month after surgery, more tests were done, and we got the news that it had spread to his lungs.
The good news is, doctors are very optimistic that with aggressive treatment, this is beatable. Bad news is the treatment is a very aggressive course of chemo therapy, which comes with is own host of terrible side effects, both short and long term.
The treatment is intense, and he’s been unable to go back to work since June and will likely be out at least through the end of this year. Although the NYPD has an excellent policy of allowing unlimited sick time, he’s losing out on a good portion of his salary that he relied on to support his family. That along with the ever-increasing amount of the medical bills that insurance doesn’t cover, has put him at risk.
It’s so difficult to rely on help from others, but unfortunately here we are. Any emotional or financial help is immensely appreciated. If you can’t afford to make a donation, please keep my amazing, loyal, hard-working, selfless brother in your thoughts! Send all the positive vibes, love and prayers you can his way!
