Help Sgt. Nagy’s family
Donation protected
We have the unfortunate news that our CDCR brother John Nagy is currently hospitalized fighting for his life. John has been diagnosed with a rare auto immune disease and is combating that with a terrible case of pneumonia. He is currently on a respirator as he can not breathe on his own due to diminishing use of his lungs. The duration of his stay in the hospital is currently unknown as they have to find a way to fight off the pneumonia and bring his lungs to a working capacity along with finding a medication to help manage the auto immune disease.
John Nagy is the current Armory Sgt. at SCC and has been so for the past 8 years. John started his career with CDCR in July of 2007 and was closing in on the golden retirement date in 2025. He has spent his whole career at SCC where he became a master trainer in every aspect of the job. John was one of the lead instructors and members of the SCC CRT Team 7 from 2010 till retiring from the team in 2023. He graduated from the CRT OP 1 in March of 2011 and Graduated from CRT OPT 2 in November of 2012. John was an instrumental part of making the range program what It has become today. As a UOF instructor, baton instructor, Range Master, TFI, Master Armorer, Radio Leason, Alarm Response Instructor, John has helped mold officers into better officers, supervisors into better supervisors and instructors into better instructors. John has been one of the driving forces into making SCC such a great place to work and learn, he is a instrumental brother to us all and will always be a part of SCC, CRT Team 7, and the CDCR family. Were asking for your help to help a brother in need and his family in these trying times. Thank you again from the whole Nagy Family.
All the donations from you all will be going to help out John’s son Alec who is 24 years old and currently serving our country in the United States Navy. This will help with the medical bills and getting Johns affairs in order anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
