Help SGT Hidalgo knife hand cancer

On June 13 2018 SGT Hidalgo an active duty soldier stationed in Hawaii with his wife and 4 kids went in for a routine MRI due to some Lower back pain. Incedently a tumor the size of an orange was identified in the mediastinum the area behind the breast bone near vital organs. Consequently 4 back to back surgeries proceeded the find and a diagnosis of Stage 3B Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkins Lymphoma was established along with the discovery of 3 other smaller tumors. SGT Hidalgo is currently undergoing a battle with cancer with a minimum of 6 months of Chemotherapy. Due to the nature of the location radiation and surgery are a concern for removal and Doctors recommend sticking with the chemo. Unfortunately due to Emergency travel  for the wife and kids for an unrelated family medical illness to Texas from Hawaii and back, out of pocket costs were spent including money for  rushed plane tickets twice for 5 with a total cost of $4600. As a result of the cancer the family has downgraded from a house and moved into a 2 Bedroom cost efficient apartment  with a rent of $2100 (Hawaii is expensive and this is considered on the cheaper end).  With a loaf of bread being $3 and gallon of milk $5.99 feeding a family of 6 will be difficult on one income and they Do Not qualify for food stamps in the state of Hawaii. SGT Hidalgo’s wife has had to give up working in order to take care of her Husband and 4 children.  SGT Hidalgo can no longer Uber on the side during the treatment. As a result money is very tight.
