Hello, my husband Darren Eames (pictured) is a very proud Army veteran, he is also a key worker ( HGV driver ) he has worked since lock down the same as my daughter she is a carer. When myself and my daughter tested positive for covid-19 he was perfectly well. Our quarantine time came and went. A few days later Daz became unwell , we thought he was just under the weather... 6 days later May 14th, he was admitted to Scunthorpe General hospital and they tested him for covid. When his test results came back as positive we , weren’t shocked but we were scared.  Daz has severe asthma and type 2 diabetes so we asked our gp if he needed to shield , and he was told no. Daz deteriorated and needed more and more help... they discovered he had developed pneumonia. Daz is now currently on the intensive care unit needing oxygen therapy via CPAP using a hood. I call it his bubble.  quick update ... daz is still extremely poorly and needing very high amounts of oxygen but he is fighting as hard as he can xx Daz has asked me to set up this page because he wants to help the ICU raise funds towards a new ECG machine... this is our way of giving back... the staff have been outstanding and so so caring even at a time when everything is so uncertain.  so all I ask is please share the heck out of this and see what we can do to help them get the new equipment they are so desperately needing. Thankyou xx
