Hello everyone, my name is Sewa Choki. I’m a DJ and producer based in Austin, TX. I’m making this GoFundMe because I’m scheduled to have an incredibly special and important Gender Affirming Surgery this December. While insurance is covering a good portion of the costs of the procedure, I will still owe a good amount of money upfront for the surgery, and will also need funds to help me pay for rent and essentials while I heal for two-months.

I need at least $1600 upfront towards the time of the procedure for the facility for the co-insurance of the surgery as well as the annestesia. In addition, I’ll need about $2000 for rent, costs of living (food and medical supplies) as I will be unemployed and have no means of making money during the time of the healing/rest period. All other funds will go towards post procedure medical debt. (About $7000)

In the meantime, I’m working two-jobs and gigging as much as I can to help supplement the costs. I am eternally grateful for any donations or support as I try and gather enough funds to go through with this life-changing but also extremely invasive procedure. It would mean the world to go into this with my heart full of security.
