Help Us Bring Severino Andrade Home to Mexico

On Wednesday, May 29th at 4:44 A.M., our beloved father, Severino Andrade, passed away at the age of 58. After suffering a sudden stroke on Saturday, May 24th, he experienced excessive bleeding that caused permanent and irreversible damage to his brain.

Due to the severity of his condition and the guidance of the medical team, we were faced with one of the hardest decisions of our lives—to take him off life support and allow him to pass peacefully. Surrounded by love, he remained with us for nearly 11 hours before taking his final breath.

Our dad was a builder in every sense of the word. Visionary, resilient, and endlessly hardworking—he brought countless projects to life with his hands, including many homes throughout the U.S. and in Mexico. He took pride in helping others build their dreams just as much as he built his own.

Severino was born and raised in Vicente Guerrero, Durango—a small town in Mexico that meant everything to him. It’s where he spent his childhood and where he later returned to build homes, including our own childhood home. It was always his wish to one day return home, and now, we are working to honor that wish by bringing him back to be laid to rest.

We are creating this fundraiser to help cover the international transportation costs required to bring his body back to Vicente Guerrero. While our family has already covered the funeral arrangements in Mexico, the unexpected cost of transporting him across borders—estimated at nearly $10,000—is something we could use help with.

All funds raised will go directly to Lesley Andrade, who is currently coordinating with the U.S. funeral home managing the transportation.
