If you know Seth, you know how genuine and selfless he is. He’s always the first to show up for his family and friends, through both life’s challenges and everyday moments, never asking for anything in return. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

After months of chemotherapy and a major surgery to remove part of his lung, he is now facing unexpected complications that have left him in the hospital and struggling through a very difficult recovery. We are asking for your help to ease the heavy financial burden on Seth and his family during this time.

On January 8, Seth went to the emergency room with severe chest pain. Doctors discovered a large mass on his lung, which was later diagnosed as non-small cell lung cancer. He immediately began a rigorous chemotherapy regimen, with the hope of shrinking the mass enough to make surgery possible.

On July 22, Seth underwent surgery to remove the upper lobe of his left lung. During the operation, the surgeons discovered more cancer than anticipated, and had to remove his phrenic nerve as well as part of his pericardium. While the surgery was ultimately successful, it has left Seth facing a long and difficult recovery.

Since then, his journey has been further complicated by serious post-operative challenges. Seth has been back and forth to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he is still currently receiving care. His team of specialists—including internal medicine, oncology, hematology, rheumatology, infectious disease, and surgery—are all working tirelessly to determine the cause of his persistent high fevers and severe pain.

As you can imagine, this has placed an enormous financial and emotional burden on Seth, his wife Kayla, and their family. In addition to the immediate medical and living expenses, it is becoming clear that Seth will be unable to continue operating his business, creating long-term financial challenges for their family.
