It is with much sadness i have to update this fundraiser, after a huge Wildfire swept through the Mountain and valley, around 70% of my land is burned. By some miracle, the house survived, even with the little wooden deck burning all the way to the door. My caravan and Bell Tent burned, all my carefully felled, spilt and stacked firewood burned, pipes and tanks, and infrastructure for water has burned, as well as all the building materials or the bathroom I was able to buy with my earlier fundraiser. It's all ashes.

Alot of my trees will survive, but some won't, and the pines that are left now are vulnerable after fire and so dangerous too.

Ive poured heart and soul, and so much graft into tending this land. Often struggling and juggling, through storms, covid, and carrying this project solo whilst also needing to go out and earn a living.

Most of you who know me, know that I have worked really hard to be living on the land, working the land as a Custodian of this place in the Mountains of Central Portugal, to finalise the project so I may invite guests here on low key, Re-wilding, Healing retreats. It is still my intention to continue with this, and although right now it looks very sad, the land is alot safer, since many of the invasive trees and bushes are now gone.

But The Fire is a really big setback that I just can't manage alone. I still need to save for everything I needed before this, as well as a whole lot more.
