We are reaching out with heavy hearts and deep concern for one of our own. Renee James, a loving mother, is going through the unimaginable right now. Earlier today, her precious daughter, Serynditi, was involved in a tragic accident that has left her unconscious and in critical condition.
The accident occurred in Galveston, where the family is now stuck, with Serynditi, a 14 year old, fighting for her life in the hospital. She has suffered a severe skull fracture and a brain bleed. The doctors have told them it’s a "touch and go" situation, and the family is in a state of shock, feeling like they are living through a nightmare. They will have a long journey ahead, including needing plastic surgery.
At this moment, Renee and her partner are beside themselves with worry and grief, unable to fully process what’s happening. Their focus is, of course, on their daughter’s survival and recovery. But as you can imagine, their world has been turned upside down, and they are facing financial strain during this overwhelming time.
While their baby girl is fighting for her life, they are also facing a difficult road ahead. She will need extensive therapy and rehabilitation to recover from her injuries. The family is currently unable to make it back to Austin, where they live, meaning they cannot return to work and are struggling to cover the cost of housing, food, and basic necessities while they remain in Galveston.
This is where we need your help. We are asking for donations to help cover the family's immediate expenses—things like a place to stay, food, and transportation while they stay by Serynditi's side in the hospital. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and help relieve some of the financial burden they are facing as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
Please keep Serynditi in your thoughts and prayers. We know how powerful prayer can be in moments like these, and every bit of hope and love can help carry this family through this unimaginable tragedy.
Thank you for your generosity and support during this time of crisis. Your kindness means more than words can express.
