Serious Matters is a four-piece alternative/post-hardcore band from New Jersey, and we’re on the verge of completing our third EP. After a week of hard work at Backroom Studios with Kevin Antreassian, most of the instrumentals are finished, but we need about five more days in the studio to bring everything to life. As an independent band, balancing real-life responsibilities and long distances—one member lives across the East Coast—has made this process a true labor of love. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and we believe this next release is our best work yet.

The funds we raise will go directly toward recording, mixing, mastering, travel, and marketing. Every dollar helps us cover the final studio sessions and ensures we can share new music for the first time in three years. We’re aiming to finish the EP by fall 2025, and with your support, we hope to celebrate with a release show and get back on the road. Our goal is to make this our most successful release to date, reaching more listeners than ever before.

This EP is six songs that tells a deeply personal story about moving across the country with a fiancé, only to be left alone to pick up the pieces.
