Hello, my name is Serina Love, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time. I’m raising funds to secure a qualified family lawyer to fight for custody of my 1-year-old daughter, Aurora.
On September 8th, I was shocked to wake up to sheriffs at my door serving me court custody papers. Without any prior warning, Aurora’s father — who had been planning this behind my back — filed for primary custody and left us. I had no idea this was coming and was completely unprepared, emotionally and financially.
For the past year, I’ve been a stay-at-home mom, devoting all of my time and energy to Aurora. I’ve exclusively breastfed her since birth (and continue to do so), as recommended by the World Health Organization and the American Academy of Pediatrics to breastfeed 2 years minimum. I also prepare three organic meals a day for her, along with healthy snacks. I’ve been her primary caregiver since day one — not just physically, but emotionally and developmentally.
Aurora and I lived with my mother and four younger siblings for the first 9 months of her life, while her father lived separately trying to build us a home that didn’t work out. My family continues to support us by helping with childcare while I’ve recently started working to support myself and Aurora. But between bills, basic needs, and caring for my animals — which Aurora absolutely loves — I simply cannot afford the cost of a lawyer on my own. Yet time is critical in custody cases, and I urgently need legal representation to protect our bond and ensure what’s best for my daughter.
I’m humbly asking for your support to raise $5,000 so I can retain a trusted family attorney. Every dollar brings me closer to giving Aurora the stability and care she deserves. If you're in a position to help — whether through donating, sharing this page, or simply sending us your prayers and support — we would be deeply grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
With love and hope,
Serina & Aurora
