Help Serina & Baby Kyron Fight for Their Future
Hi, my name is Joanna Martindale, and I'm reaching out on behalf of someone who means the world to me—Serina Denham, a dear and cherished friend, who now needs the love and support she’s always been so quick to offer others.
Serina is currently facing a high-risk pregnancy that has brought unimaginable challenges. She has been diagnosed with preeclampsia and polyhydramnios, and is currently hospitalized at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. Doctors expect she may have to remain in the hospital until the birth of her son, Kyron.
Kyron has already been diagnosed with skeletal dysplasia (dwarfism), and while Serina is holding onto hope, doctors are uncertain whether he will be compatible with life outside the womb. Despite the emotional and physical toll, Serina remains committed to doing everything in her power to give her son the best chance at life.

Why We’re Asking for Help
Due to her medical condition, Serina is unable to work, and her income has completely stopped. Her immediate needs include:
Rent & basic utilities (power, phone, etc.)
Out-of-pocket hospital expenses
Potential funeral costs if Kyron does not survive
Or, if he does make it, lifesaving therapies, medical supplies, and long-term support for his condition
As her medical stay continues, bills are beginning to pile up, and the stress of financial uncertainty is only adding to an already overwhelming situation.

About Serina
If you’ve ever met Serina, you know she is one of the kindest, most selfless souls you could encounter. She's the type of person who would go without just to make sure someone else had enough. She has dreamed of being a mother her entire life, and even in the face of these heartbreaking challenges, her love for Kyron remains unshakable.
She is ready to fight as long and as hard as it takes for her baby—and we want to be right beside her.

How You Can Help
We are hoping to raise enough support to help cover Serina’s essential living expenses—such as rent, utilities, and basic needs—while she remains in the hospital and during the difficult weeks following Kyron’s birth.
Any additional funds raised will go toward out-of-pocket hospital costs, and if needed, toward baby Kyron’s ongoing medical care or other critical needs after he arrives.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. If you're unable to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser and sending your prayers, love, and strength to Serina and her baby.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with them during this incredibly challenging time.
With love,
Joanna Martindale
