Hi, my name is Elena Amani, and I am fundraising for my dear friend Serhii.

This year, for Serhii’s birthday on September 4, we’re not giving presents — we’re giving a hope.

Serhii has been fighting prostate cancer for two years. He’s had several surgeries, and now urgently needs a radiation therapy at the private facility of the Icon Cancer Center Canberra, the only suitable place for his case. But after fleeing the war in Ukraine, he and his wife have very limited financial resources.

They left behind their home, belongings, and everything familiar — and now they’re facing cancer far from home.
