Aloha, my name is Sergio Alvear,

I am asking for support as I recover from the recent Kona storms, which caused significant damage to my car, cell phone, laptop, and other personal belongings, including electronics in my apartment. Because my car was damaged, I also lost two weeks of income, making it even harder to get back on my feet.

This situation has been especially difficult because I am still recovering from the devastating August 2023 Maui wildfires. During that time, I lost everything and barely made it out safely with my 4-year-old son. Since then, I have been doing my best to rebuild our lives, and this recent storm has been another major setback.

I am doing everything I can to move forward, but I need help to recover and provide stability for my son. Any support—no matter how small—means so much to us.
