Help Sergio Fight Pancreatic Cancer and Support His Recovery

Hi Everyone!

We’re reaching out to ask for your support for our dear friend and coworker, Sergio Gutierrez. Sergio is a proud union carpenter, loving father, grandfather, and all-around amazing guy who’s been facing the fight of his life.

Almost a year ago, Sergio was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The diagnosis came suddenly, and after several different treatments, his doctors have determined that he needs surgery followed by an extended period of recovery. Unfortunately, this also means that Sergio won’t be able to return to work for several months after surgery. As you can imagine, that’s a heavy burden for someone who’s always provided for his family with his own two hands.

Sergio is the proud father of three beautiful children, who are his greatest joy and motivation. He has a big heart and an unwavering willingness to help others. Despite the struggles he is facing, he is always in good spirits and has an incredible sense of humor. He gets along with everyone he meets and is such a devoted employee that even on his treatment days, he comes into work afterwards and works just as hard (if not harder) than everyone else. He is extremely reliable, dedicated, loyal and strong-willed. He loves hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, and most importantly being with his family.

Sergio has spent many years as a framing and drywall carpenter. His determination and positive outlook after being diagnosed is something that everyone should strive for. Even on his toughest days, he never complains, just pushes through. He’s the first to lend a hand, show up early, and do whatever it takes to get the job done. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
