Hello friends and family. Hope everyone has been doing well. I am reaching out to you all today in asks of a small favor. On May 23rd, 2025, during a traffic stop I was wrongly arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of cannabis while traveling into Benson, AZ. Though, I occasionally use cannabis as it is legal in the state of AZ, I would never put myself or anybody else in danger by getting behind the wheel after consuming, be it cannabis or alcohol. I hadn’t consumed anything that day that would’ve impaired my driving ability, but seeing how it was three caucasian troopers against one Mexican man, well you know how it goes… I have never been arrested or in any type of criminal trouble before, and right now I am in a really good position in life having graduated from NAU in May 2024 (Go Jacks!) and securing a position within their Utilities department since Oct. 2024, and having something like this on my record could seriously affect my present and future. I have decided to lawyer up and attempt to clear this off my record, but it does come with a price. Having just bought myself a nice little truck after being years without a car, I am in a tough to be paying off a lawyer right now, and that’s where I am asking you all for help. I have not decided who I am going to hire to defend my case yet, but it is going to take anywhere from $7000 to $13000 dollars. That’s why I have created this GoFundMe to hopefully receive donations to lessen this financial/legal burden that I am in right now. If you guys know me you know I like to work for my own things and hardly ask anybody for money or help, but right now I am in a serious situation where I can use all the help I can get. It is not necessary at all, but anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. I am going to make my decision and call a law firm to represent me June 20th, and anything that has been contributed before and after then would benefit me. If you can’t help financially, please share my story to get a bigger reach.
