Dear friends and compassionate souls,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My beloved brother, Sergio Renato Montoya, has been diagnosed with colon cancer and has a tumor in his liver. Sergio lives in Cajamarca, Peru, where he works tirelessly as a music teacher. Despite his dedication and hard work, his salary is not enough to cover the mounting medical bills and daily expenses.

Sergio is a loving brother and son, full of life and dreams. At 49 years old, he has the heart and spirit of a 15-year-old. He is an autodidact who taught himself music by reading our mother's classical music books. His passion for music and his dream to one day marry and have children keep him going, even in these challenging times.

In Cajamarca, we lack the technological advances available in other parts of the world, making Sergio's battle even more difficult. Despite these hardships, Sergio's faith remains strong. He believes in the healing power of Jesus, as stated in 1 Peter 2:24 and Matthew 8:17:

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV): "Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed."

Matthew 8:17 (NKJV): "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses."
