Help Sergio and Family Through Recovery

Hello, my name is Sophia and I am fundraising for my dad Sergio and my family. On March 22nd, my father had the biggest health scare I’ve ever witnessed. He threw up so much blood it was like a crime scene. Cut to the hospital the next day where we were there overnight, we found out his liver was failing. He underwent surgery that he thankfully took very well, but it was scary to move so fast that in a moment you are signing him away that any further complications you might not leave the hospital with a dad anymore.

After finding out he has non-alcoholic cirrhosis, 11 days in the hospital, and now 4 months of being out of work, we needed to do something to help us.

He’s a hardworking man who is struggling to rest in this recovery process because he cannot work. Myself and the rest of my family are working very hard to make sure we can get bills paid as well as brace ourselves for the medical bills to arrive. It’s true when they say one of the hardest things is to ask for help, because the last thing I want to do is make him feel like a burden for being unable to contribute when he needs to focus on recovering. I cannot even comprehend what is coming up that I put down any number to begin. 

Eventually once this initial goal is hit, we are looking to implement a stretch goal equivalent to a fully funded safety net so any shares or donations are greatly appreciated!
