Get Serge and family to his Dad’s funeral

Hello, my name is Kathy, I am fundraising for my friend Serge, his siblings (Scott/Shawn) and Gilbert’s grandchildren for air fare from the West Coast to Fredericton, NB for their Dad’s funeral and then back again.

The above photo is Gilbert Soucy, their Dad, grandparent, friend, supporter… you name it, that was Gibert. I never met him, but I’ve seen his interactions a lot throughout the years thanks to technology and Facebook.

I met Serge a long time ago in Bible Hill, NS the summer of 1988. We were air cadets from two different Squadrons with a common goal to survive Air Studs ‘88, As I told him then and again now, air cadets stick together and at this time, my friend needs some help. As we all know, covid kind of messed up a lot of people’s livelihood and such. Serge was a musician by trade and converted to neighbour handyman. I’ve watched him help anyone and everyone he could during the last year and a half,  and now I am asking for us all to repay his karmic debt and show as much kindness, compassion and care to the family and help them get to New Brunswick to put their father to rest.

Serge said he can convert air miles he has and I know he would love to have the support of his family. So, it is my hope that we can get them all where they need to be, surrounded by their family and friends during this very difficult time.
