Serena’s mother is a kind and loving person who has always put her family first. Recently, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and spent about a month in the hospital fighting for her life. During this difficult time, Serena has been her full-time caregiver, living in her mother’s home along with her little brother and her daughter. The family has been doing everything they can to support each other through this unimaginable challenge.

While Serena’s mother was in the hospital, their water was turned off due to nonpayment. The bill became extremely high because of a leak that went unnoticed while Serena was focused on caring for her mother. Now, on top of the emotional and physical toll of her mother’s illness, the family is facing the urgent need to get their water turned back on and fix the leak so they can have a safe and stable home again.
