Help Serena Fight for Her Life
Donation protected
Dear friends and kind-hearted strangers,
We’ve set up this go fund me page to help our truly amazing and beautiful friend, Serena! We're asking for your support for someone who means the world to so many.
Serena is not just a friend; she is a fighter, a single mother, and a beacon of strength. At 39 years old, Serena was living life to the fullest—working multiple jobs, passionately serving youth in mental health, and maintaining a vibrant, independent lifestyle. But everything changed in June 2020, when she started feeling unwell. A routine trip to the hospital turned into a nightmare when she was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. Her world shattered that day, but so did her spirit. Serena didn’t allow this devastating news to define her—she refused to give up.
Despite the odds stacked against her, she fought back with everything she had, securing a treatment plan at Princess Margaret Hospital. Over the next year, Serena endured grueling rounds of chemotherapy, invasive surgeries, and the unthinkable toll of a body fighting for life. Her strength and will to live were unmatched as she kept pushing forward, not only for herself, but for the people who love her.
By February 2021, she was in remission—a triumph. But as we all know, cancer is unpredictable. In January 2024, the beast returned, this time with vengeance, spreading to multiple areas in her body. Serena was faced with a stark reality: there are no more surgeries, no easy fix. Her only options are chemotherapy or a clinical trial. And through sheer determination, Serena was accepted into the trial, though there is no end date in sight. This treatment will continue for as long as her body can bear it.
Every day is a battle. Serena can no longer work and the simple joys of life that we take for granted are just beyond her reach. The toll on her body and mind is unimaginable, yet she faces each day with grace, resilience, and a smile, never once complaining. But no one should have to endure this alone, especially when battling a disease that takes so much.
Currently, Serena is on disability, but the financial strain is overwhelming. The cost of medical treatments and everyday necessities is mounting, leaving her and her family in a constant state of stress and worry. This is a fight she should not have to face alone—not financially, not emotionally.
That’s where we come in. We are reaching out to you, asking for your generosity and compassion. Anything you can donate will go directly to Serena’s medical expenses and allow her to explore alternative treatments abroad, where promising case studies have shown life-saving results. These treatments, however, come with a steep price tag—up to $80,000. No amount is too small because every bit counts. We cannot bear the thought of losing Serena, and we believe together, we can give her the fighting chance she deserves.
Serena has given so much love and care to everyone around her—now it’s our turn to give that back. Please, help us give Serena the chance to live the life she deserves.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support. Your kindness will make all the difference. ♡
Let’s help Serena win this fight.
