Help Seren Get Gender-Affirming Top Surgery!

Hello to my dear friends, loves, and strangers from near and far alike!

I desperately need your help to get some troubling things *off my chest*. Long story short, I fall under the Non-Binary-Trans umbrella, and my breasts don’t belong on my body.

Right now my FFF bra size pins me into being perceived as a woman almost all of the time, gives me back pain, and limits my ability to present myself authentically. It would help me in *so many* health-affirming ways – in relieving back pain and gender dysphoria alike – to get top surgery and fully relieve myself of the heavy (heavy) burden of having my FFF breasts.

Because I have a physical condition called Hypermobility Joint Syndrome, binding is essentially impossible, and leaves surgery as my only solution. Every joint throughout my body is so loose and hypermobile that, when I’ve tried to bind in the past, I’ve accidentally dislocated my ribs. Unlike dislocating a wrist, ankle, or shoulder – which I also do regularly thanks to my condition – there are very limited options to push errant ribs back into their proper places without outside assistance. Who wants their ribs outside of their sockets?! Not me, that’s for sure.

I know money is tight for everyone, but the fact of the matter is that I can’t afford this surgery without help. I have about €2500 (or $3000) in savings which I will be putting to this surgery, and I desperately hope that this crowdfunder will help me cover the rest.

To break down the math, the surgery from start to finish will cost €5500, which equals around $6500 in USD – this includes *everything*: the consultations prior, the surgical procedure itself which includes an overnight hospital stay, the anesthetic and medicine used throughout and after the process, staff costs, recovery and follow up appointments afterwards, and even any revisions that might be needed after the procedure should something somehow go wrong.

So I need YOUR help to raise the €3000 (or around $3500) that I need in order to make this happen! If you don’t have any funds to spare, that’s totally fine – I would just ask that you share this around and spread the word. I mean it sincerely when I say that every little bit helps!

Even though my moving countries has meant that I may not be a physical presence in the communities I once lived in and adored, I hope you can all remember the joy we shared together when our lives intersected more directly, and that you can help me make my body feel more like “home” by helping me achieve this final, life changing, gender-affirming surgery.

It would mean the world to me to be able to get this final burden… off my chest.
