In the early hours of Sunday morning, around 2:30 a.m., our lives changed in an instant. Sequoia was involved in a severe car accident after hitting a wild hog, which caused her to crash head-on into a tree. She was found unconscious and immediately put on a ventilator and rushed to the hospital.
She arrived at the hospital in critical condition and immediately required multiple lifesaving procedures. Doctors performed emergency surgery to repair a major artery and stop internal bleeding. She has since undergone an 8 hour surgery to treat serious injuries to her leg and hip.
Sequoia has suffered multiple significant injuries, including a small brain bleed, spinal ligament damage, torn carotid arteries, many broken ribs, lung bruising, facial fractures, and an eye socket fracture all that will require additional surgery. While she has made great progress and is now stable, she is still facing a long and difficult road to recovery, including an extended hospital stay and ongoing medical care.
Sequoia is deeply loved by her family who have been by her side through every moment of this nightmare. As they focus on her healing, the emotional and financial strain continues to grow. Medical bills, surgeries, rehabilitation, and time away from work are creating an overwhelming burden.
We are asking for help to support Sequoia during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation will go directly toward her medical expenses and recovery needs. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Sequoia in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, kindness, and love.
