My name is Sephone and I live with my partner Ariel and our two kitties Sylvester and Rumi. We urgently need help to keep a roof over our family’s head and get back on track.

My 2006 car has issues with transmission, steering, and radiator. I also need to cover towing, reinstating auto insurance, and renewing registration. I'm currently on unpaid leave until the end of September and I need to be able to make the 40-minute commute to my job. I’m also supporting my partner who’s still looking for work after undergoing cancer treatment.

In the last month we had an expensive veterinary emergency. We have to keep our two cats, Sylvester and Rumi, quarantined from each other since Sylvie contracted and survived panleukopenia, and we’re still in the process of getting them fully vaccinated.

Additionally, ever since an overextended medical leave I had to take last year, I lost my employer-sponsored healthcare and it will cost me over $2K at this point to reinstate my coverage so I can get my own health back on track and stay healthy enough to continue working. I’ve been without healthcare for 10 months now and both my mental health and physical health have declined since I can no longer afford the prescriptions or treatment I rely on for depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, and chronic pain. While I’m actively looking for closer work in the hopes of getting a new job with benefits, the opportunities are sparse where I live.
