A Homeless Schoolyard Kitty Becomes Family — Now He Needs Our Help
My kids and I noticed a cat lingering near their school. He was incredibly friendly and bonded with the kids instantly, but it was clear he was suffering. He was severely underweight and had a large, painful abscess on his left cheek. We couldn’t walk away — we brought him home.
Two days later, we took him to the Humane Society vet. The abscess was drained, stitched, and he was sent home with antibiotics. From that moment on, he became a strictly indoor cat, finally safe, warm, and clearly grateful. He quickly earned the name Señor Snuggles — and a permanent place in our family.
Two months later, the abscess returned. Another vet visit revealed the cause: a serious tooth infection that requires extraction. Unfortunately, there’s a long wait for the procedure, and the vet has instructed us to keep him on antibiotics until he can be seen.
The first emergency visit cost nearly $350, which we’re paying off in installments. The tooth extraction is estimated at $1,060–$1,350. If we can provide $500 upfront, the vet will allow us to make payments on the remaining balance.
This unexpected medical emergency is a heavy strain on our already tight budget — but Señor Snuggles is family now, and we’re committed to helping him heal and live pain-free.
Any contribution toward the initial $500 would mean the world to us and to this sweet, loving cat who has already been through so much.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and helping Señor Snuggles get the care he needs. ❤️
