Our Story

As senior filmmakers, we've poured our hearts and souls into Vargr's Saga, our capstone film project. This coming-of-age historical fantasy about a young Viking warrior seeking revenge for his father's death is more than just a class assignment; it's our chance to showcase the skills we've honed over years of study and hard work.

"When I was a kid, I was undiagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, so I didn’t know how to express myself and my emotions without going into violent outbursts. Only within the last few years have I learned that my anger isn’t a bad thing and I should listen to what my emotions are telling me instead of bottling them up. I wanted to share this journey through the story of a young, reckless Viking warrior who learns to master their emotions and become the greatest berserker ever. Plus, I have access to a whole Viking village, costumes, and props through the Vikings of Utah Historical Society." - Zealand Despain (Writer/Director: Vargr's Saga)

Time is of the Essence

We’re facing a daunting deadline: we need to complete filming for our independent film within the next two months. Every day counts, and we’re scrambling to secure the necessary funds to make this happen.

Your generosity is our lifeline. We’re hoping to raise $3,000 by the end of the month to cover essential costs like:

Actor compensation

Props, costumes, and visual effects

Licensing fees for shooting locations

Equipment rentals

Film festival application fees

Food for our hardworking cast and crew

Your contribution will directly support the creation of a high-quality film that we hope will be recognized at local and national film festivals.

We’re incredibly grateful for your support. Your generosity means the world to us, and we’re committed to paying it forward by sharing our passion for visual storytelling with the world.

We're committed to making Vargr's Saga the best possible film it can be, and we won't stop until it's finished. Your generosity will not only support our project, but it will also help us achieve our dreams of becoming professional filmmakers.
