Hi y'all! I am raising some funds for my sweet Fern's upcoming surgery on January 9th.

She has developed a number of mammary tumors that were seemingly benign for many years, but now have grown larger and multiplied enough to cause concern. The biggest concern is that her lymph nodes may be involved at this stage.

Unfortunately, the nature of these tumors makes a typical (less invasive) biopsy inconclusive. So, she will need to have the lumps removed via anesthesia surgery in order to get a diagnosis on whether or not her situation is benign or more serious (cancer).

She is otherwise in very good health, so I am full of hope that no matter what the verdict is, this decision is the first step in making sure her golden years are the absolute best they can be! If you've been lucky enough to have known her for some time, you'll know that she has come out of her shell immensely since her adoption in 2018. I can't wait to watch her continue to thrive and bring countless smiles to the faces of strangers and loved ones alike wherever we go.

For transparency into my financial situation regarding this event:

Her vet bill is estimated to be between $4,200-4,400. (pictured below)

I have been approved for CareCredit. I am planning on using this to cover half of the cost, and the rest will be paid out of my savings and with funds raised here. Any excess funds will go towards her recovery (recovery food, comfort items, future visits etc.)
