Hello everyone! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Christina Manis, aka Chrissy. My father, USN retired Senior Chief Richard Manis recently passed away. I'm reaching out to everyone I know and asking them to share this with everyone they know as well. Although it feels very awkward to ask for help, I know a closed mouth doesn't get fed and I am, well, I am needing help coming up with final expenses.

Many of you reached out asking how you could help my family during this time. Know that your support means everything to us. Even though we were anticipating my Dads passing, nothing has prepared us for this immense feeling of loss and sorrow. We know that he touched many hearts, and we, as a family, appreciate the kindness you have extended to us. Thank you all for the messages of sympathy you have sent over the last several days. I appreciate all your kind words about my Dad, and I especially love hearing your memories of him. 

He, without hesitation, gave 26yrs of his life serving our country and he always said he'd do it all over again if he could. He had the courage and heart of a lion, he'd help anyone out in need, and was as reliable as the 1st and 15th. In 2015 my mom passed away and my dad's heart was broken but in the same year I had my son, whos named after my dad, gave my dad purpose to live again. He needed us as much as we needed him. In 2018 we moved in with Grandma and by the end of 2020 my Dad was bed bound. Needing care around the clock, we were living off his pension alone.

My Dad passed away on June 25, 2021, and I'm coming to realize that putting a loved one to rest is pretty costly. I'm faced with cremation costs, having to empty out 4 storages in Arizona within the next couple of weeks, and carry out my Dad's final wishes. We kindly ask, if you are able to, to donate funds towards his final expenses, as we hope to carry out his final honor.
