Carol’s Sanctuary, a Non Profit 501 C3, in Bayport, NY Needs Your Help Desperately! Micheal Genovisi was asked to leave his Sayville Sanctuary of 12 years because the Landlord dislikes dogs (can you believe it?) Some local Contractor’s were kind enough to supply labor and materials at the new digs in Bayport, with the promise it would be paid back as soon as possible. The bill is more than 200k.
As Michael cannot turn away an injured dog, his Current Vet Bills Owed are:
Atlantic Coast Vet Hospital $34,350.83
Gradys Animal Hospital $6,542.96
Aquebogue Vet Hospital$2,000
PLUS This Week:
SUNNY. Bayshore Animal Hospital: Bloodwork, Dental with extractions, 4dx, Growth Removal and Biopsy.
SLURPIE: Gradys Animal Hospital. First Heartworm treatment injection.
BELLA: Gradys Animal Hospital. Pre surgical bloodwork, echo and tummy surgery if echo is cleared for surgery.
SARGE: Dr. Noelle La Croix. Full Eye exam.
SABRINA: Atlantic Coast Veterinary Hospital. Pre surgical bloodwork. Oncology consult and biopsy. Surgery to remove growth from jaw with Dr. Lombardi.
MYSTRO: Almost finished with Antibiotics and then bloodwork, 4dx and ultrasound for trachea and heart.
ACE: Bayshore Animal Hospital. Bloodwork, 4dx. Neuter, Microchip and Vaccine boosters.
And to add to his growing debt, a woman who volunteered at Carol’s and ran the Fundraisers was not turning over the proceeds!
Behind Every Rescue is a Cost
At Carol's Senior Pet Sanctuary, we are dedicated to saving lives—one dog at a time. Every day, we face difficult decisions and costly medical treatments to save animals who would otherwise be lost to the euthanasia list. From surgeries to medications and ongoing care, the medical expenses add up quickly. But every dollar spent brings us one step closer to saving another life.
Every day we take on the dogs other rescues cannot, especially those with special needs or medical conditions that require immediate and expensive attention. Sometimes, these last-minute decisions are what make the difference between life and death. And while the medical costs are high, the reward of watching these dogs heal and thrive is priceless.
Your support makes all of this possible. Whether it’s donating, fostering, or spreading the word, you are a part of these life-saving moments. The more we can reduce our medical expenses, the more animals we can save, and your help makes it all happen.
Thank you to our supporters, Veterinary Drs and Staff for being part of our mission to give every dog a second chance.
Always looking for Adopters and Foster Homes!
