We’re incredibly proud to share that Emmett Holmes, our 16-year-old son, has officially qualified to represent Team USA at the 2026 Freshwater Spearfishing World Championship in New Zealand this coming March!
Emmett earned his spot on the national team after placing 3rd in the Youth Division at the Freshwater Regional Tournament at Fish Lake, Utah. This was Emmett’s first JAWS tournament and he scored high enough in a single tournament to qualify! His performance stood out not only for his skill, but also for the heart and sportsmanship he showed throughout the competition.
This is an amazing and rare opportunity for a young athlete — but it comes with significant travel and equipment costs. Between flights, lodging, gear, training, and team expenses, the financial burden is more than we can handle alone.
We’re reaching out to friends, family, the dive community, and anyone who believes in supporting young athletes chasing big dreams. Every donation, big or small, will directly support Emmett’s journey to represent our country on the world stage.
He’s been training hard with the help of his mentor and dear family friend Calvin Lai, and has always looked up to the greats in the sport. With your help, Emmett will not only compete — he’ll gain life-changing experience, friendships, and pride in representing the red, white, and blue underwater.
In the event the trip gets cancelled, donations will be returned (unless used to buy non-refundable items).
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and belief in Emmett!
