"Here now! DAMMMN! Stop that crying you're gonna make me cry! SHIIIIT!"
- Jimmy -
Jimmy Pickles, our "Good Ole Boy", loving husband, daddy, papa, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and co-worker was called home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
••Now the time has come to reach out for help in taking care of Jimmy's beloved Pat and the mounting expenses to lay him to rest as well the arduous days ahead.••
Ole Pick never rested.
- His year-old phone battery sent SOS signals for a break.
- His record phonecall length: 7min 22sec.
- Case knives trembled in padded envelopes marked Ellijay.
- Guns dropped their clips at the sound of his name.
- Deer sausage knew its fate before it was packaged.
- Vehicles knew their days were numbered before the ink dried on their title.
- Breakfast slipped into hyperthermia waiting to be eaten while pictures loaded to Facebook.
- Free gas station coffee...didn't stand a chance.
- Roses barely experienced the sun's warmth before being cut and put in a vase.
- D.O.C. <redacted> haha
This could go on for DAYS.
It was only appropriate to post a clip of a FaceTime call on this page because 9 times out of 10 that's what he was doing: calling his family and friends. Jimmy was always spreading his love and light, laughing, wheeling and dealing, and asking if any of us had seen the lastest food picture he'd posted on FB. He woke up on the phone and went to bed on the phone. Oh, and selling his two favorites: günś and knives. OF COURSE.
When he wasn't on his phone, he and his sweetie of 39 years, Pat, were visiting their friends and neighbors, sending plates of food or boxes of groceries, smoking Boston butts, gifting handmade quilts, and so much more - always taking care of people. Their huge hearts and souls could power several beings not just two. They were put on this earth as givers and servants and have been blessings to so many.
What is already a devastating situation has become even more disheartening leaving the family with a fight against his life insurance company - they have refused to pay his policy due to COVID fine print.
Your donations will help the family make it through the coming months while this new life unfolds for his wife financially and with a heart that needs the pieces put back together. A new life for all of us who have loved and respected him.
Thank you so much.
Please share this far and wide.

Together we can do this.
We've all have a helluva example of love and dedication from Daddy. There's been no better...the mold was broken the day he was born.
He lives on through each and every one of us and I couldn't be more proud to have even more pieces of his legacy because of your love and memories!❤️
