Hello everyone,
I am nearing the end of my time at Covenant Seminary (I'll finish December '19) here in St. Louis and Molly and I have begun thinking and praying about what comes next for us. One opportunity that we are particularly excited about is for me (Thomas) to work as a college campus minister with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF). RUF has been a huge part of both of our stories and we are very excited about the possibility of working for RUF in the future. In order to work for RUF, Molly and I will need to travel to Dallas, TX to attend RUF Assessment from February 10-13.
What is RUF Assessment?
RUF Assessment is a comprehensive, yet casual job interview where RUF assessors will get to know Molly and I better, as well as helping us discern our fit for Campus Ministry. Through assessment, we hope to get a better idea of what doing RUF in the long term would be like. At the end of assessment, we hope to be approved to work for RUF and to begin the process of seeking a placement on a campus.
How you can help!
When I worked for RUF after college as well as through my time in seminary, we have been generously supported by many of you through prayer and financial support. We are so grateful to have a community that supports us in this way and we are thankful for your ongoing partnership in the gospel.
We would ask first of all that you pray for us.
- pray for us to be able to be ourselves at assessment.
- pray for us to trust God as we seek to discern what we should do in the future.
- pray that we would be able to raise all of the funds necessary for assessment.
In order to attend RUF Assessment, Molly and I need to raise $1500 to cover the cost of assessment (hotel reservation, administrative costs, etc.) as well as $600 to cover our transportation (flights, cab to the hotel, etc.). This brings the total we are trying to raise to $2100. We are hoping to raise this amount by January 21.
Would you prayerfully consider supporting Molly and I as we seek to discern whether RUF is what the Lord has for us? Any amount helps. We thank you for your consideration!
