Hi! What a time we have all been living through. Why am I raising money? My twins that are turning 11 on March 4th have, like so many of our children, endured this year of living in a pandemic with patience and understanding. As their mother I'm of course biased, but they are still bright spots in this world given all the challenges that any 10 year old faces, let alone during the COVID-19 times we've been surviving through. I want to see them get outdoors, camping is the one upset they were sad to see go last summer. They want safe, outdoor adventures and Camp Hayo-Went-Ha in Traverse City, Michigan is just the ticket. I did a similar sleepa-way camp at their age and it was such a growing experience. Lets all help to send them to this adventure and allow them to start their next school year feeling fresh and free of the school year we have all had to endure. The last thing they want to see in the summer is a piece of technology and this camp delivers. Check out the link above and see all the amazing it has to offer.
**Let's break the donations down - $8,500.00**
$7500 4 weeks for both
$10 camp photo
$25 camp account for each
$100 scuba training package for each
$600 to cover camping gear and equipment for both
$140 to cover travel to camp in Traverse City, MI. from Chicago, IL.
Anything above the goal will be contributed to the Donor that helped reserve the camp spaces by making a deposit of $790.00. Anything above that, goes straight to the Camp Hayo-Went-Ha for helping any other campers that need supplies, gear, etc.
The boys, identical twins and truly great friends, are hoping to meet and make new life-long friends. Let's also be real honest...they want a break from Mom and the house we've all been in together since March of 2020. For all our sake, let's help them break away this summer from the remote learning, virtual meetings and get outside! They want to canoe, climb, scuba dive, sail, hike, swim, run and play and be outdoors...for anyone that donates any amount, Alex and Gabriel want to send you a personalized letter and photo or picture of their experience that you helped them have. They are my world and I wish I could afford to do this all on my own...I need your help, they need your support and kindness. Thank you so very much!
