We did it again! In our third year of participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition league, it looks like the SHS team will qualify for the New England regional championships at The Big E in Springfield April 3-6, 2024.
During our regular season, we made it to playoffs at both the Bridgewater State University and Greater Boston District Events. Thanks to SO MANY community members, former teachers, young engineers, and Scituate fans who came to cheer us on! Last week, we were recognized by judges with an award for Industrial Design. Here's what they had to say:
"This team doesn't let an engineering challenge take the wind out of their sails. Their elegant design and use of unconventional components allowed them to iterate quickly. Some teams solve every problem with a hammer, but this team solves them with a chainsaw."

We are so proud of this team of almost 30 students, their worth ethic, and the robot that they built! This year, students worked even harder on the business side of things: outreach events, grant writing, running both a Car Wash and Stems for STEM flower fundraiser, and securing more business sponsors than ever before! Still, our efforts fall a bit short for this level of competition.
