My name is Teresa Melendez and I am reaching out to you with immense pride and excitement as the co-founder and chair of the Nevada Statewide Native American Caucus of the Nevada State Democratic Party, longtime Indigenous organizer, citizen of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, and lifelong Democrat. I have the extraordinary honor of being the only Native American elected delegate from Nevada to attend the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, from August 19th to 22nd. This is a defining moment for our country, and I am determined to represent Nevada and Indigenous people on this national stage.

Attending the national convention is an unparalleled opportunity to make our voices heard, but it comes with significant out-of-pocket costs. Unfortunately, the Nevada State Democratic Party does not cover travel or accommodation expenses for delegates. I need your support to help cover the costs of this vital trip.

BREAKDOWN OF ESTIMATED COSTS:

- Round Trip Flight to Chicago: $800

- Hotel for 5 Nights (including breakfasts): $2,500

- Additional Food and Incidentals: $700
