Help send teen leaders to a mentoring conference!

Hi, my name is Maggy. I am working to support some of my former students attend the Stars National Conference (SNC) , this July, with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) in Denver Colorado. BBBS has offered to cover their conference fee with a scholarship, but we need to raise money for their airfare!

Big Brothers Big Sisters focuses on helping students make positive life choices, and to build healthy relationships. They provide students the opportunity to discover themselves and build upon their skill set through three core elements; self-awareness; healthy decision-making and MentorLife®, which means to always invest in someone and always have someone investing in you.

SNC is a four-day event that brings teens together from across the country to learn about self-awareness, healthy decision making, and community service. Participants get the opportunity to live as a college student on the Denver University campus and participate in workshops, group discussions, a Denver area excursion, a block party, and a career fair. This is an amazing opportunity!

The young people I am hoping to bring will serve as teen staff during the conference, a supportive leadership role that helps the conference function but also gives them the opportunity for personal growth. We need your help to cover the cost of airfare. There are 6 young people who are hoping to have the opportunity to serve as teen staff. Each airplane ticket costs $559. We are also asking for extra money for food during their travel.
