Help Send Team Tesseract to the FIRST Robotics Championship!

Donation protected
We are FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Team #21689, Team Tesseract, a Nashua-based team of nine 9th and 10th graders who have developed our skills and built our robot on a shoe-string budget. In fact, we only purchased the walls for our FTC practice playing field in January 2025.

During the FIRST Tech Challenge NH State Championship held on February 15, 2025, Team Tesseract earned one of two spots to represent the State of New Hampshire at the FIRST Robotics World Championship event in April in Houston, Texas! We are beyond ecstatic to collaborate, learn and compete alongside 255 of the best FTC teams from around the world.

Team Tesseract needs financial support to make this journey to Houston and is aiming to raise $10,000 in the next month.

All funds raised will be used toward:
  • Event registration fee of $2,500
  • Robot improvement and transit costs ($1,500 estimated cost)
  • Team hotel and food costs for the 5-night event ($5,000 estimated cost)
  • Printing of t-shirts and display materials to showcase our accomplishments this FTC season ($1,000 estimated cost)

“Team Tesseract has been competing for three seasons of FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and many of our students also participated in FIRST LEGO League (FLL) while in elementary school,” said Srini Pulugurtha, lead mentor of Team Tesseract. “Our students are constantly challenging themselves to enhance the hardware and software aspects of their robot, use CAD to design and print custom 3D parts, and think about game strategy. It is so exciting that their hard work is taking Team Tesseract to compete at the highest level at the FIRST World Championships.”

During the NH State Championship Team Tesseract achieved the top three highest match scores to date among all New England FTC matches with our Alliance partner, VERTEX, an FTC team composed of Phillips Exeter Academy students. Team Tesseract is currently ranked #32 in the world out of 8,000 teams globally for scoring ability in the 2024-2025 FIRST Tech Challenge season. Team Tesseract also won 2nd place Inspire Award for the State of NH, recognizing our success both in building a competitive robot and in our outreach efforts (953 hours of outreach, 710 new people recruited to STEM and FIRST, and a reach of over 202,000 people).

Working closely with FIRST NH leadership, Team Tesseract obtained a proclamation from Governor Ayotte who has officially declared April 2025 as FIRST Robotics Awareness Month in New Hampshire. We are committed to help spread awareness and encourage more students, educators, and families to get involved in STEM and robotics.

Thank you for supporting Team Tesseract's journey to the FIRST Robotics World Championship event. If you are making a donation in honor of a specific Tesseract team member please wish them luck in the comments! We look forward to keeping our supporters posted about our progress!

Gratefully,
Team Tesseract
