Hello, my name is Kelsi and I am 26 years old. I've come to you today to ask for your help. My great aunt Edwina (Wendy) took a drastic turn last week which led us to the hospital. Unfortunately, Wendy didn't start to get better; she just got worse until I had to make the hardest decision to accept what was happening and agree to hospice.

Wendy is 70 years old and had battled with polio and brain damage since birth, so she never got to live a normal life. See, Wendy had the mind of a child and always needed to be cared for, and I was blessed almost 10 years ago to be able to take care of her and give her the love and care she needed. She was an adult, but she was my kid. She was the sweetest, kindest, most loving soul. She had an affinity for pink and flashlights. From the time I was a wee little kid, she always had a flashlight in her hand. My silly Luce goose. She was so innocent; she still believed in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, and I let her. I always played those roles for her, and looking back, it's one of the most beautiful things I got to do for her.

Wendy was the baby of her siblings and never let anyone forget it. She was spunky, silly, flirty, and just all around the most amazing parts of humanity. Unfortunately, I can't afford a funeral, cremation, or anything to honor her, and this woman deserves the very best. I'm not asking for much, and if you can't help, I understand that too. I'd just like to do right by her and bring her back home where she belongs.

I found a funeral home that's not outrageous, and they are kind; they handled all my family's cremations. Like I said, unfortunately, this is so dang sudden, and I have other children, so financially, I can't afford anything, not even a basic cremation. So, if you find it in your heart to help me send my sweet Wendy home, I would be forever grateful, and if you can't, that's okay too. Just please share?
