The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Senior Men’s National Basketball Team is scheduled to participate in the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean Pre-Qualifying Tournament, taking place in Georgetown, Guyana from July 6th to 13th, 2026.
Ten national teams will compete, including Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Turks and Caicos, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The top two teams will advance to compete in the FIBA AmeriCup 2029.
The total cost for the team’s participation is EC$160,000. To date, EC$75,000 has been secured, and we are now working to close the remaining gap. We are raising $32,000 USD by the end of May to ensure the team can be fully prepared for competition in early July.
This is a critical moment for the program. Representing the country at this level requires the right support — from training and logistics to accommodation and travel. These are the resources that allow the players to focus on competing and representing St. Vincent and the Grenadines with pride.
We are asking for support from the Vincentian community, the diaspora, and anyone who believes in backing athletes who represent their country at the international level.
Every contribution goes directly toward helping the team get to Guyana, prepare properly, and compete at the level required.
Thank you for your support.
