Stacey is an incredible young Kenyan woman, full of vision and determination, living in Oyugis in Western Kenya. In 2021 Stacey established Starting Point Solutions - a project which supports, enables and teaches teenage mothers from the local area. In October 2025, I was fortunate enough to spend 2 months as a volunteer at the project. Alongside doing lots of coaching and getting to know the young people, I was able to support Stacey to register AFC Stoneham Kenya, a new football team consisting of boys and girls from her village of all ages including some of the supported mothers. Since then, Stacey has worked tirelessly to give hundreds of kids opportunities in football, increasing their opportunities, confidence and skills. She has given so much to so many whether it be teen mothers, aspiring footballers or volunteers like myself, she deserves to be given something back. We would love to be able to facilitate Stacey coming to the UK in May to not only watch AFC Stoneham in the FA Vase final at Wembley but also to gain valuable coaching experience, connect with Stoneham itself, learn from others and increase her capacity to impact many more young lives when she returns to Oyugis. The money raised will cover the cost of flights and visa for Stacey to come to the UK for 10 days in May.
