Hello possible donors! My name is Sky Marie Carias.  This is my pursuit to a collage dream. I was thirteen when I started this journey. I was attending my local middle school in honers classes but I found myself in situations where I was being severely bullied by my peers. I wanted more knowledge and less drama, so I knew a change needed to be made.

I was able to find an online school funded by the state of NV. My parents enrolled me in Nevada Virtual Academy the following week. During this time, I also began to research colleges and realized that Grand Canyon University was the perfect place for me. I also realized that if I pushed hard enough, I could graduate a year early with honors. This was a big goal and I knew that it would be difficult and time consuming, but I was determined to do it despite the challenge. 

I am now seventeen years old and pleased to say I officially did it. I am graduating this year, 2022, one year early, with not only honors, but college credits as well. I was also accepted into the the honers program at Grand Canyon University for a degree in Theatre for Secondary Education. I have thankfully received some scholarships from the university, but with fall only being only a few months away, the reality of cost is beginning to truly sink in. I am asking for help with this next step in my journey. I need  a total of $75,000. It’s a huge number, almost overwhelming, but I believe in this dream. I have worked very hard for this for around five years and I’m almost there.
