Hi! My name is Roan Dunkerley and I will be representing Team USA at the World Junior Ultimate Championships this summer. The tournament will be held in Birmingham, UK from July 20 to July 27.

Ultimate is a huge part of who I am, and the sport has helped me grow into the person I am today. I started playing ultimate in 6th grade, and my love for the sport and community continues to grow every year. Playing for the national team is an honor and a privilege. I feel so lucky and grateful to be in this position, and I am super excited!

In preparation for the tournament in Birmingham, the team will have a training weekend in Colorado and then a week in Chicago. While this is a very exciting and fun experience, it is also very expensive due to the large amounts of travel. This GoFundMe is a way for people to help me on this journey, and play a critical role in this adventure. I will be putting my own money towards the trip, but it is still a large cost. Any donation or encouragement supports me on this journey! All donations will go directly towards covering the cost of plane tickets, transportation, lodging, food and tournament fees.

I want to thank all my coaches and mentors for shaping me into the player I am today, and giving me so many opportunities.
